At Sauce, we essentially look for anything interesting and worth reading. Any topic which would catch the imagination of our readers works. However there are certain submission guidelines which must be adhered to.
1. Originality: All submissions must be strictly original. We carefully scrutinise all submissions and do not tolerate plagiarism in any form. So in case of a derivative work, (basing your piece of writing upon some already existing work, eg, Fan Fiction), you must acknowledge the original piece in the submission.
In case, however, you come across something interesting from some other source, you are free to send it to us. We’ll acknowledge your contribution in the case.
2. Format: All submissions must be mailed as a (.doc) attachment to litsocjc@gmail.com, with subject line “SUBMISSION FOR SAUCE”. The font style should be Times New Roman, font size 12, and line spacing 1.5. Painting and photograph submissions may be resized if necessary.
3. History: If you are submitting poetry, we also expect you to tell us what led to the piece you submit- what led you to the idea, if any incident in particular, or what was on your mind while writing it, how you relate to the piece, et al; not exceeding 100 words. This should be mailed to us as a part of the attachment submitted.
4. Author’s details: We would like to know something about you- the author! So please pick two phrases for yourself, not exceeding ten words and send it to us in the body of the mail. Also include the url of your blog or webpage (if any).
